Comtoyou Racing, legally known as JNVS Sprl, is a Belgian racing team based in Frameries, founded by team principal François Verbist, son of WRT co-founder René Verbist, together with Jean-Michel Baert. After early years in the Fun Cup and a 2017 campaign in the TCR International Series with Stefano Comini driving an Audi RS 3 LMS, the team stepped up to the newly created WTCR touring car championship in 2018.
As an Audi factory partner, Comtoyou shaped touring car racing for five years: in the WTCR, the team finished runner-up in both the drivers’ and teams’ standings in 2021, while picking up three TCR Europe titles in 2020, 2022 and 2023. This run of success made Comtoyou one of the leading Audi customer teams in touring car racing.
In 2023, the team entered GT3 racing, initially still with the Audi R8 LMS Evo II, and won both the drivers’ and teams’ titles in the Gold Cup of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup on debut. However, with Audi ending its GT3 factory support, Comtoyou sought a new direction.
2024 marked the start of a new era: Comtoyou switched to Aston Martin, racing on as AMR Comtoyou Racing. Already in its first year with the British brand, the team pulled off its greatest achievement yet, overall victory at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps with Mattia Drudi, Marco Sørensen and Nicki Thiim, Aston Martin’s first overall win at Spa since 1948.
The team entered the DTM in 2025 with the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, and since 2026 Nicki Thiim and Nicolas Baert, son of team owner Jean-Michel Baert, have lined up for Comtoyou. In parallel, Verbist is building a junior programme with young talents such as Jamie Day and Baudouin Detout in the ADAC GT Masters, aimed at paving their way toward the DTM.
