2. General Information on Data Processing
We process our users’ personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website along with our content and services. Processing generally takes place only with the user’s consent, where such consent is required, or on another legal basis (e.g. Art. 6(1) GDPR or the provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP).
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, CH-8805 Richterswil, Switzerland. The server location is in Switzerland. When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits automatically (including IP address, date and time of the request, browser used, operating system, referrer URL). This data is not combined with other data sources and is deleted after 30 days at the latest.
We additionally use the content delivery network (CDN) and reverse proxy service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare routes all traffic to our website and, in doing so, processes technical connection data (including IP address) to protect against attacks and to improve loading times. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing our website securely and with good performance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further information can be found in Cloudflare’s privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
4. Cookies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies – some are technically necessary for operating the site, others are used for analytics (see Section 7). On your first visit you will be asked for consent via our cookie consent tool, where such consent is required. A full overview of all services used, their purpose and storage period can be found in our Cookie Policy as well as at any time via the privacy settings at the bottom of the screen. You can withdraw or change your consent there at any time, with effect for the future.
5. Contact
If you contact us by email, the data you provide (including email address, name, message text) will be stored in order to process your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent. Processing takes place in order to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
6. Embedded Third-Party Content
On some pages we embed third-party content, such as videos (e.g. YouTube) or podcast players. When such content is loaded, the respective provider may process your IP address, in some cases also in countries outside the EU/EEA (e.g. the USA). We have no complete control over the scope and purpose of this data processing by the respective third-party providers. Further information can be found in the privacy notices of the respective providers.
7. Newsletter, Advertising and Analytics Tools
We currently do not send a newsletter and do not run any advertising services. To analyse how our website is used, we use the following service:
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA
Cloudflare Web Analytics collects technical data about how our website loads (the visited page URL, the referring page, load times, HTTP status code) as well as the visitor’s approximate country of origin derived from the IP address. According to the provider, the IP address itself is not stored; no cookies are set and no persistent identifiers are stored on your device. Evaluation takes place solely in aggregated form.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via our cookie consent tool.
Data processing takes place in the USA. As part of its terms of service, Cloudflare has entered into the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) recognised by the EU Commission as a safeguard for an adequate level of data protection.
Further information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
You can withdraw your consent at any time via the privacy settings.
Should further services be introduced in the future (e.g. newsletter distribution, reach measurement, advertising), this privacy policy will be updated with the relevant details (provider, purpose, legal basis, right to object) before their introduction.
8. Your Rights
Within the scope of applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing. You also have the right to rectification, blocking, deletion or restriction of the processing of this data, as well as a right to object and a right to data portability. Please contact us at the address given in the Legal Notice at any time.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority
In the event of data protection violations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority – in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); for users in the EU, the competent national data protection authority.
10. Data Security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.
11. Currency and Amendment of this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is currently valid (last updated: 8 August 2026). As our website develops further and new technologies are used, it may become necessary to change this privacy policy. The most recently updated version always applies.
