Santino Ferrucci

Santino Michael Ferrucci was born on May 31, 1998, in the USA and displayed extraordinary talent in karting from an early age, winning multiple regional and national titles in North America and gaining media attention as a karting prodigy by age eleven. This early success paved the way toward single-seater racing, and he soon shifted his focus to open-wheel cars to climb the European junior ladder.

Ferrucci’s rise took him through Skip Barber and the F2000 series before moving to Europe in 2014 to compete in German and British Formula 3. With Fortec Motorsport, he achieved a victory at Brands Hatch at just 16 years old, becoming the youngest race winner in British Formula 3 history. In 2015, he raced in the Toyota Racing Series for Giles Motorsport and finished third in the championship with a win at Manfeild and five additional podium finishes, before returning to Muecke Motorsport in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. He then competed in the GP3 Series with DAMS and from 2017 in the FIA Formula 2 with Trident, where his involvement ended prematurely in 2018 following multiple incidents. He made his IndyCar Series debut in 2018 with Dale Coyne Racing.

Ferrucci has celebrated his greatest career successes in North America: in 2019, during his first full IndyCar season, he was named Rookie of the Year at the Indianapolis 500. Since 2023, he has piloted the number 14 Chevrolet for A. J. Foyt Enterprises and started from fourth place to achieve a strong third-place finish at the Indy 500 that year. In 2024, he scored his best IndyCar championship result to date with ninth place in the standings, backed by ten top-10 finishes and his first career pole position at the Grand Prix of Portland.

Santino Ferrucci remains a full-time driver for A. J. Foyt Enterprises in the 2026 season, continuing his successful partnership with the historic team. Following the promising results of recent years, particularly his strong performances at the Indianapolis 500, the focus now shifts to building on consistent top-10 results and establishing himself permanently among the elite of the IndyCar Series.
