Carson Hocevar

Carson Scott Hocevar was born on January 28, 2003, in the USA and began his motorsport career at the age of seven in the Quarter-Midget class. There he accumulated 79 race wins and fifteen national championships before making his debut at Berlin Raceway in 2015 as a twelve-year-old, where he immediately won the Outlaw Late Model championship. After another success in 2016 in the Super Late Models, NASCAR banned drivers under 14 years old from competing on sanctioned tracks, so Hocevar returned in 2017 and claimed the track’s Super Late Model championship.

Between 2018 and 2019, he competed in eleven races in the ARCA Menards Series, scored nine top-ten finishes and two pole positions, and became a member of the Drivers Edge Development driver development program in 2019. He made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut, then known as the Gander Outdoors Truck Series, in 2019 at the Eldora Dirt Derby for Jordan Anderson Racing. Late in the year he moved to Niece Motorsports, for which he ran a part-time program starting in 2020 and a full season beginning in 2021; as a rookie he impressed with second-place finishes at Charlotte and fourth at Las Vegas. In 2022 he extended his tenure at Niece but had to temporarily pause the season after suffering a broken tibia in a crash at Gateway.

Hocevar experienced his most successful Truck season in 2023: After starting with a twelfth-place finish at Daytona, he won his first Truck race in Texas after a double overtime, added victories in Nashville and Richmond, and secured his spot in the Championship 4 with another win at Homestead, ultimately finishing fourth in the final standings. In total he has six Truck wins, primarily for Niece Motorsports. His jump to the NASCAR Cup Series came with Spire Motorsports behind the wheel of the No. 77 Chevrolet, where he was named 2024 Rookie of the Year. In April 2026 he celebrated his first Cup victory at the Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega.

In the 2026 season, Carson Hocevar continues as a full-time driver for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series and aims to build on his triumph at Talladega by gaining consistency to establish himself permanently among the championship contenders. In addition, he competes selectively in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for Spire as well as in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for Young’s Motorsports, demonstrating his versatility across multiple NASCAR series.
