Caio Collet

Caio Collet was born on April 3, 2002 in São Paulo and grew up there as well. His motorsport career began at the age of seven in karting, where he won several national titles in his native Brazil. His performances also caught attention in Europe: in 2015 he finished third in the World Karting Championship round in the KF-Junior class, and a year later he was signed by Birel ART. The breakthrough into the European junior program finally came through Nicolas Todt’s All Road Management and the Winfield Racing School, whose shootout at Le Castellet in 2018 secured him a funded cockpit.

In formula racing, Collet started in 2018 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship for Silverpfeil Energy Dubai, before winning the French F4 Championship that same year, with seven victories and eleven podium finishes making a clear statement. There followed two years in the Formula Renault Eurocup, where he impressed as Rookie Champion in 2019 and finished vice champion in 2020 behind Victor Martins. From 2021 to 2023 he competed in the FIA Formula 3, initially for MP Motorsport and later for Van Amersfoort Racing, celebrating three race wins in Hungary (2022), Zandvoort (2022), and Spa-Francorchamps (2023). During these years he was also part of the Alpine Academy and gained experience as a test and simulator driver for the Nissan Formula E team before making his Formula E debut in 2024 at the Portland ePrix as a substitute for Oliver Rowland.

The consistent ascent continued in North America. In 2024 Collet switched to HMD Motorsports in the Indy NXT, where he finished third overall as a rookie, and in 2025 he improved to second place in the championship. Among the biggest successes of his career are the French F4 title in 2018, the vice championship in the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2020, and the strong results in the Indy NXT in 2024 and 2025, which ultimately opened the door to the IndyCar Series for him.

For the 2026 season, Caio Collet is entered as a full-time driver for A.J. Foyt Enterprises in the IndyCar Series, taking the step into the highest class of American open-wheel racing. After years of steady progress through the junior series, the new challenge will show whether the experience he has gathered in Europe and North America pays off against established IndyCar competition. For the Brazilian, who has consistently pursued his path from karting in São Paulo to the top of single-seater racing, it is the most significant step of his career to date.
