Arvid Lindblad

Arvid Lindblad, born on 8 August 2007 in Surrey, is the son of a Swedish father and a mother of Indian heritage. He first sat on a motocross bike at three and switched to karting at five at the Daytona Sandown Park track. From the age of nine he was mentored by current Formula E champion Oliver Rowland, and in 2021, the year he joined the Red Bull Junior Team, he won both the WSK Euro Series and the WSK Final Cup.

After spells in Italian Formula 4 (2022/23) and a win in the Formula 4 race at the Macau Grand Prix, Lindblad made his Formula 3 debut in 2024, becoming the youngest ever race winner in the championship’s history at 16 and celebrating a home double win at Silverstone. In Formula 2 in 2025 he became the youngest ever race winner and the second-youngest pole-sitter after Théo Pourchaire, before finishing the season fourth.

Under a special exemption he was granted his Super Licence at just 17. He gained his first Formula 1 mileage in testing and free practice sessions for Red Bull, including at the British and Mexican Grands Prix. In December 2025 he was confirmed as the successor to Isack Hadjar, who was promoted to Red Bull Racing, becoming a race driver at Racing Bulls for 2026 and the only rookie on the grid.

As an eleven-year-old he told Lando Norris, who was impressed by him in karting at the time: “I want you to remember me.” He chose car number 41 because it is rarely used in motorsport and also echoes his initials.
