The story of Juncos Hollinger Racing begins far from the ovals and road courses of North America: in 1997, Ricardo Juncos, himself a former Formula Renault driver, founded his team in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through 2003 the team competed there in Formula Renault 1600 and 2000 as well as the National Sport Prototype Championship. With racing opportunities in Argentina remaining limited, Juncos dared to cross the Atlantic: the team relocated to Miami, Florida, initially establishing itself as a full-time professional karting team before moving on to Indiana in 2008, where it developed into an open-wheel racing outfit.
A special chapter in the team’s history is its rebranding in 2021: with Brad Hollinger, a Williams F1 shareholder, coming on board as a partner, Juncos Racing officially became Juncos Hollinger Racing. Ever since, the name has symbolized the connection between Ricardo Juncos’ Argentine roots and decades of grassroots work with fresh capital and international Formula 1 experience. Today the team resides in a modern headquarters just a short distance from the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a location that symbolizes both ambition and tradition.
The team’s actual success story was first written in the junior ranks. In the Star Mazda Series, forerunner of today’s Indy Pro 2000 Championship, Ricardo Juncos’ eye for talent showed early: in 2010, Conor Daly won the Star Mazda Championship for Juncos with seven season wins from thirteen races. Tatiana Calderón also left her mark on this era, becoming the first woman to reach a podium in the series at Barber Motorsports Park in 2011. These years laid the foundation for the team’s reputation as a talent factory from which numerous drivers made the jump to higher categories.
In the current era, Juncos Hollinger Racing is led by team principal Dave O’Neill, who helps shape both the IndyCar and INDY NXT programs. For the 2026 season, the team fields the driver pairing of Rinus VeeKay and Sting Ray Robb in the NTT IndyCar Series. Dutchman VeeKay was signed as the new lead driver in October 2025 and brings years of IndyCar experience, while Sting Ray Robb provides continuity in the driver lineup. The program is rounded out in the INDY NXT development series by Ricardo Escotto, who returned to the team for another season in January 2026.
With solid partnerships such as the return of ampm and ARCO as sponsors in February 2026 and a clear focus on its driver development program, Juncos Hollinger Racing looks confidently toward the coming season. The team, which once started with limited means in Argentina, has grown into one of the most ambitious outfits in the IndyCar field and intends to consistently continue on this path in 2026.
