Tyler George Reddick was born on January 11, 1996 in the United States and started racing at the age of four in Outlaw Karts. He quickly moved into dirt-track racing and competed in Mini Sprints, Midgets, Dirt Late Models and Sprint Cars. In doing so, he set several records: he was the youngest driver to qualify for the pole position at the World 100 at Eldora Speedway, the youngest winner at the East Bay Winter Nationals and the youngest race winner in the history of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, in which he was also named Rookie of the Year in 2011.
In 2012, Reddick made his debut in the ARCA Racing Series and won his first race in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at Rockingham that same year. In April 2013, he entered the Camping World Truck Series for Ken Schrader Racing, before starting for Brad Keselowski Racing from 2014 onwards. On February 20, 2015, he celebrated his first Truck Series win at Daytona, and another followed in May of the same year at Dover; at the end of the season, he finished as vice champion behind Erik Jones. In 2017, Reddick moved to the Xfinity Series, initially for Chip Ganassi Racing, where he scored his first series win in September at Kentucky.
Reddick celebrated the greatest successes of his career in the following years: in 2018, he became Xfinity Series champion for JR Motorsports, in 2019 he defended the title for Richard Childress Racing and became the first driver in NASCAR history to win championships with two different teams in a row; that same year he also secured the regular season championship. From 2020 onwards, he competed full-time in the Cup Series for RCR and won his first Cup race there in 2022 at Road America, followed by victories at Indianapolis and Texas. In 2023, he moved to 23XI Racing, reached the Championship 4 in 2024 and became regular season champion of the Cup Series that year. In 2026, he achieved a historic start with wins in the first three races of the season, including the Daytona 500, becoming the first driver in Cup Series history to accomplish this feat.
In the current 2026 season, Tyler Reddick continues as a full-time driver for 23XI Racing and pilots the No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE. After his historic season start with three consecutive wins, attention now turns to maintaining this form throughout the entire season, with the clear goal of finally claiming the Cup Series championship that he narrowly missed in 2024.
