Thomas Flohr was born in Switzerland and grew up away from the classical motorsport junior structures that many racing drivers go through starting in karting at an early age. His path to racing was different: Initially rooted in the business world, he discovered his passion for fast cars relatively late, but with all the greater determination. He gained his first experience in karting before taking the step into GT vehicles and building a solid racing foundation in a very short time.
Through various GT3 customer sport programs, Flohr found his way into internationally competitive endurance racing series. Instead of following the classic formula route through junior series, he deliberately focused on GT racing and long-distance prototypes, where he gradually familiarized himself with more powerful vehicle classes and renowned teams. This consistent specialization eventually paved the way for him into the FIA WEC, where he established himself as a dedicated gentleman driver with clear sporting ambition.
Among the greatest successes of his career so far is especially his long-standing connection to Ferrari customer teams, with which he contested numerous long-distance classics, including multiple participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Particularly the collaboration with AF Corse characterized this chapter of his career, during which he repeatedly competed for podium finishes in various GT classes and made a name for himself as a reliable, consistent driver in the international endurance racing circuit.
In the 2026 season, Thomas Flohr continues to compete in the FIA WEC, thus continuing his long-standing presence in the world endurance championship.
