Nicolás Varrone

Nicolás Varrone hails from Argentina and, like many drivers of his generation, came to motorsport through karting. At a young age, he demonstrated exceptional talent in karts for fast corner entry and precise braking management, qualities that would later distinguish him in heavier vehicle classes as well. His path eventually led him to Europe, where he competed in established junior series and had to hold his own against international competition.

In Europe, Varrone progressed through the classic single-seater ladder and gained valuable experience in various Formula racing series. He set an important milestone in 2018 when he secured the title in the V de V Challenge Monoplace, a success that impressively underlined his skills in open-wheel racing and opened doors for further opportunities. In the following years, he expanded his portfolio with GT3 appearances before eventually making the jump to the FIA WEC, where endurance racing and teamwork are the focus.

The greatest successes of his career reflect this development path: from his first Formula achievements to the WEC title in 2018 in the V de V Challenge Monoplace, which to this day is considered one of the most defining chapters of his motorsport career. This experience in single-seater racing, combined with later GT3 appearances, provided him with the necessary tools to assert himself in the demanding world of endurance racing, where consistency and nerve are required over many hours.

In the 2026 season, Nicolás Varrone will compete once again in the FIA WEC, where he hopes to build on his team’s previous successes. His goal is to bring together the experience gathered from junior series and previous WEC campaigns to consistently run at the front of the field. The new season offers him the opportunity to continue proving his driving skills on the grand stage of endurance racing and to continue his career progression from Argentine karting talent to internationally recognized WEC driver.
