Kobe Pauwels

Kobe Pauwels grew up in a motorsport-enthusiastic environment and found his way to racing through karting at an early age. On the racetracks of his homeland, he gathered his first experience in competitive driving and quickly stood out through consistent results and a fine feel for tire temperature and brake balance, qualities that would later become his greatest strengths in GT racing. The transition from karting to formula series and GT junior classes was the logical next step for the young Belgian.

Through various junior series, Pauwels worked his way up continuously, gaining valuable experience in different vehicle classes. The jump to GT3 vehicles marked a turning point in his career, as he worked with professional factory teams for the first time and had to adapt to the higher demands of endurance racing. These experiences eventually paved the way for him to enter the FIA WEC, where he was able to establish himself in the Hypercar and LMGT3 categories.

Pauwels’ greatest career success to date dates back to 2025: By winning the GT World Challenge Europe, he secured one of the most prestigious titles in international GT racing. The success underlined his ability to perform consistently at the highest level throughout an entire season, both in sprint and endurance formats. This title is regarded as a milestone that brought him additional prestige within the international GT and prototype scene and strengthened his position for future engagements.

For the 2026 season, Kobe Pauwels competes in the FIA WEC, where he and his team and teammates have committed to building on the previous year’s successes. Following his title win in the GT World Challenge Europe, the focus is now on consolidating his position on the international stage, with the ambition to regularly compete for podium finishes and class wins. The coming months will show whether the Belgian can carry his strong form from 2025 into the World Endurance Championship and establish himself as a fixture there.
