Jake Hughes was born on May 20, 1995, in Norwich, England. Like many British racing drivers, he began his motorsport career in karting, where he showed early technical aptitude and race pace before making the leap into formula racing. His path from East Anglia into international motorsport led him through numerous junior series, in which he continuously developed his skills.
In Formula 3 and Formula 4, Hughes gained his first experience in the international arena and drew attention through consistent performances. The next logical step took him toward GT3 racing, where he established himself as a versatile and reliable driver. In parallel, the door opened for him to Formula E, where he completed several seasons and gathered valuable experience with hybrid and electric powertrains before finding his way into the FIA WEC.
Among the greatest achievements of his career to date is his involvement in Formula E, where he proved himself over several years in the international electric racing series. In the FIA WEC, Hughes was able to bring his experience from GT3 and formula programs and position himself as a sought-after driver for long-distance projects.
