Jack Aitken was born on September 23, 1995, in London and grew up in a British environment shaped early on by his passion for motorsport. Like many drivers of his generation, he began his career in karting, where he earned his first credentials through national and international competitions and laid the foundation for his later path into formula racing series.
After karting, Aitken moved on to European junior formula categories, where he worked his way up step by step through Formula Renault, Formula 3, and eventually the GP3 Series and Formula 2. These stations served as a classic springboard and brought him into contact with Formula 1’s major junior development programs before he later also established himself in the GT3 arena and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), where he became established as a sportscar driver.
Among the biggest successes of his career so far is his Formula 2 title win with the Campos team, with which he was able to prevail in the highly competitive junior series. Beyond that, he gained valuable experience as a Formula 1 reserve driver, including at Williams, where he also stepped in as a race driver on short notice. These experiences at the highest formula level accompanied his transition into sportscar racing, where he has since made a name for himself as a versatile and quick driver.
In the 2026 season, Jack Aitken continues to compete in the FIA WEC, where he wants to prove his skills in one of the world’s most prestigious endurance racing programs. Together with his team, he is aiming for consistent points finishes and podium positions, with the clear goal of positioning himself as far forward as possible in the overall standings. The experience from his previous formula and sportscar outings should help him bring his team forward consistently throughout the season.
