Ian Aguilera

Ian Aguilera grew up in an environment where motorsport was an integral part of everyday life from an early age. He gathered his first experiences in kart racing, where he already stood out as a teenager through consistent lap times and a fine feel for tire management. This early foundation in kart racing laid the groundwork for a career that would take him through various junior series over the years, always accompanied by the goal of one day competing on the international stage of sportscar racing.

After kart racing, Aguilera made the jump into racing cup series with more powerful vehicles, in which he gradually worked his way up to the level of GT and prototype racing. Particularly in the Radical environment, he was able to gain valuable experience in handling lightweight, aerodynamically demanding vehicles, which later made the transition to more powerful GT3 vehicles easier for him. This consistent progression through several categories is considered a classic path for drivers who want to establish themselves for the FIA WEC, and it also paved the way for Aguilera toward endurance racing.

Ian Aguilera achieved his biggest career success to date in 2024 when he secured the title at the Radical World Finals in the Pro1500 class. This success not only underlined his driving potential, but also his ability to assert himself under pressure in an internationally competitive field. The title win marked an important turning point that significantly influenced his further sporting career and brought him additional attention in the motorsport scene.
