Finn Wiebelhaus was born on 5 March 2006 in Obertshausen, Hesse, and is one of German motorsport’s most exciting young talents. He came to racing relatively late: before discovering motorsport, he played football for local club FC Kickers Obertshausen, until an ADAC karting course in 2019 sparked his passion for racing.
What started as leisure activity quickly became serious competition. In karting, Wiebelhaus collected titles at an impressive rate: in 2021 and 2022 he won the ADAC Kart Masters X30 Junior as well as the South Germany and West Germany ADAC Kart Cup in the same class. As a four-time champion, he stepped up to single-seaters in 2023 and competed in the French and Italian Formula 4 championships before electing to switch to GT racing.
That decision proved to be a turning point. Wiebelhaus made an impressive debut in the 2024 ADAC GT Masters with three podium finishes and his first series race win, ending the season in fourth place. He capped off the year at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, winning the GT Cup Gold Medal for Germany alongside Haupt Racing Team founder Hubert Haupt.
2025 brought his breakthrough: with three race victories, seven podium finishes and two pole positions, Wiebelhaus and teammate Salman Owega claimed the ADAC GT Masters title. He also won the Road-to-DTM standings and became the first driver ever to step up directly into the DTM as the reigning Road-to-DTM champion. At just 19 years old, Wiebelhaus is one of the youngest drivers in the 2026 DTM field, racing for HRT Ford Racing in the Ford Mustang GT3 Evo.
