Chase David Wayne Briscoe was born on December 15, 1994, in Indiana and grew up in an environment where motorsports was initially not a priority: His father Kevin initially wouldn’t let him behind the wheel, but eventually relented to enable quality family time. Five years later, Chase returned to racing and started driving 410 sprint cars at age thirteen. In his first season, he recorded seventeen top-ten finishes and won the final race of the year, breaking NASCAR Champion Jeff Gordon’s record as the youngest winner of a 410 sprint car race by a year despite using an engine from the 1993 model year.
In 2013, Briscoe applied for the Peak Stock Car Dream Challenge, a search for a ride with Michael Waltrip Racing, and finished second overall behind Patrick Staropoli despite recording the most track wins. The team manager at the time, Ty Norris, nevertheless encouraged him to continue his racing career. Later that same year, Briscoe made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West debut at NAPA Speedway with an eighth-place finish, followed by additional appearances at Kern County Raceway Park and Phoenix International Raceway. In 2014, he relocated from Indiana to Charlotte, North Carolina, to network in the heart of American motorsports.
Through connections with his friend Christopher Bell, Briscoe participated in test drives at Cunningham Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series in 2015 and made his debut at Lucas Oil Raceway with a tenth-place finish. After developing a close friendship with team owner Briggs Cunningham III, he secured a full-time ride in 2016, won six races, and clinched the ARCA championship with a 535-point margin over Tom Hessert. In 2017, he transitioned to the Ford Performance NASCAR Driver Development Program and Brad Keselowski Racing in the Truck Series. Since then, Briscoe has established himself in the NASCAR Cup Series and celebrated his biggest achievements to date with victories in the Southern 500 in 2024 and 2025. On the side, he operates Chase Briscoe Racing, his own team in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
For the 2026 season, Briscoe drives full-time for Joe Gibbs Racing in the No. 19 Toyota Camry XSE in the NASCAR Cup Series, supplemented by part-time appearances in the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for JGR and in the No. 5 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro of the Craftsman Truck Series for Tricon Garage. Following his two Southern 500 victories, attention now turns to continuing this success streak and establishing himself permanently at the front of the Cup field.
