Chandler Smith

Chandler Michael Smith was born on June 26, 2002 in the United States and found his way into motorsports at just four years old in 2006, initially in karting before moving through Quarter Midgets into the Bandolero class. He quickly made a name for himself there: in 2013, he secured the national Bandolero championship with victories in Atlanta, Charlotte, and Bethel Motor Speedway, laying the foundation for his career in American stock car racing.

The next major step came in 2018 with his debut in the ARCA Menards Series at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, where Smith earned the pole position after a rain-affected qualifying session and finished fifth. In his fourth ARCA start, he won his first race at Madison International Speedway, and shortly after added another victory at Salem Speedway. He ran multiple part-time programs for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Series in 2019 and 2020, while also making his Truck Series debut with Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2019, immediately earning the pole at Iowa. In 2021, he made the jump to a full-time Truck Series ride.

Among his career’s biggest accomplishments are his 2021 Truck Series Rookie of the Year award and his victory in the prestigious Snowball Derby that same year. In 2022, he reached the Championship 4 of the Truck Series with Front Row Motorsports, a testament to his consistency at the highest level. Smith has also scored multiple wins in the Xfinity Series, including victories at Richmond for both Kaulig Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing, cementing his reputation as a versatile and quick driver across multiple NASCAR series.

In the 2026 season, Chandler Smith is driving full-time for Front Row Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series, after gaining part-time experience in the top NASCAR series with the team previously. After years of rising through the developmental series and the Truck Series, where he was one of the defining figures, he is now taking the next major step and aiming to establish himself permanently in the Cup Series field.
