Benjamin Goethe

Benjamin Goethe was born on March 14, 1996 in Stuttgart and grew up in a family that has always been closely connected to motorsport. At just eight years old, he sat in a kart for the first time, and it soon became clear that he had an extraordinary feel for grip and braking points. He spent his early years on regional karting tracks in southern Germany, where he had to hold his own against competitors his age before making the jump to international karting series.

Goethe’s transition from karting to formula racing followed the classic route through German junior series. After initial successes in Formula 4, he switched to GT3 vehicles, where his calm, consistent driving style particularly shone. Teams appreciated his ability to deliver clean lap times even under pressure, which opened the door to professional customer racing programs. This path eventually led him to the FIA WEC, where he established himself in the LMGT3 category.

Goethe celebrated his greatest career success to date in 2022, when he won the Silver Cup in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. This title is considered a milestone in his sporting development and confirmed his reputation as a reliable, fast gentleman driver in the GT3 environment. The success brought him additional recognition within the scene and paved the way for further international engagements, including in the FIA WEC.

In the 2026 season, Benjamin Goethe will compete for his current team in the FIA WEC, where he will be deployed in the LMGT3 class. At his side sits an experienced teammate with whom he shares driving duties over the endurance races and who assists him with setup development. His goal for the upcoming season is to consistently score points and establish himself in the front ranks of the class overall standings. His experience in endurance racing should help him maintain the necessary consistency even with changing conditions and long race distances.
