Ben Dörr

Ben Dörr, born on 25 January 2005 in Lich, is the son of Evelyn and Rainer Dörr, who together run the Dörr Group and the family’s own racing team, Dörr Motorsport; his older brother Phil is also a racing driver. After starting out in karting in 2011, Dörr collected numerous national titles, including the Rotax Max Challenge in the Mini and Junior classes, and in 2018 and 2019 the ADAC Kart Masters, where he became the youngest driver ever and first-ever rookie to win the OK Senior class.

In 2021 he moved into car racing, competing with the family team in GT4, and in 2022 he finished runner-up in ADAC GT4 Germany alongside Romain Leroux. After gaining early GT3 experience in the Nürburgring Endurance Series and at the 24 Hours race in 2023, Dörr made his DTM debut in 2024 as a McLaren Junior Pro Driver together with the family team, the very first appearance of a McLaren in the traditional series.

Dörr improved markedly in his second season, 2025: he took the first-ever DTM pole position for McLaren at the Nürburgring, scored his first podium at Zandvoort, and finished the season 17th with 47 points. Alongside the DTM, the qualified automotive mechatronics technician, who also helps prepare his own race car, gains experience in GT World Challenge Europe and at endurance classics such as the 24 Hours of Spa and the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring.

For the 2026 season Dörr enters his third DTM year, again alongside teammate Timo Glock. Despite holding down a full-time job as a mechatronics technician in Frankfurt, the 21-year-old already ranks among the top six of the field at the halfway point of the season, helped by the team’s first-ever race win, awarded to Dörr in the Lausitz after a post-race penalty against Marco Mapelli.
