Joshua Michael Bilicki was born on June 3, 1995 and grew up in Dousman in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, where he began karting at the age of four with the Badger Kart Club. Working his way through Kid-Karts and the Yamaha 100cc class, he quickly progressed to the more powerful 80cc shifter karts and collected numerous regional and national victories, including the 2008 SKUSA Super-Nationals at Road America against international competition. In 2011 he moved to the 125cc shifter kart class, and a year later was signed by Team Andrew Chase Racing-PCR and competed in the Midwest Shifter Kart Series.
Parallel to his karting career, Bilicki made the leap into sports car racing at age fifteen in 2011 and competed in the SCCA Spec Miata class, where he already achieved two pole positions, four top-5 finishes and three podium finishes in his first year. After obtaining his national racing license in 2012, he competed in the SCCA Majors Tour and qualified for the prestigious SCCA National Championship Runoffs on every attempt; that same year he also made his debut in an Area Sportsman Stock Car at Jefferson Speedway. In 2015 his first professional sports car season came with entry into the IMSA Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge, before he made his NASCAR debut in the Xfinity Series with Obaika Racing at Road America in 2016.
Among the greatest successes of his career is the class victory at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill 2016, which Bilicki achieved in the E1 class with a Mazda Global MX-5 Cup for Trim-Tex Racing alongside Joe Koenig, Britt Casey Jr. and Cameron Cassels. In the national NASCAR series, he has since racked up over 250 starts in the Cup Series, the Xfinity Series, now the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and the Craftsman Truck Series, establishing himself as a reliable driver on road courses and street circuits.
For the 2026 season, Josh Bilicki will compete as a full-time driver for Garage 66 in the NASCAR Cup Series. After years as a versatile part-time driver, the full-time role in the cockpit is meant to give him the chance to bring his experience gained on road courses throughout a complete season and establish himself permanently in the top field.
