Nolan Reid Siegel was born on November 8, 2004, and hails from California, where he began his karting career at age eight at Sonoma Raceway. After years in the local and regional Northern California karting scene, he made the jump to formula cars at just 14 years old and started his career in the U.S. junior formula system, known as the Road to Indy, rather than taking the detour through European formula series.
Siegel began his path through the junior series in 2019 in the Formula 4 United States Championship and U.S. F2000 National Championship for Newman Wachs Racing. In 2020, he switched to Jay Howard Driver Development, before celebrating his first USF2000 victory in 2021 at New Jersey with DEForce Racing and finishing the season eighth overall. That same year, he made his Indy Pro 2000 debut, and in 2022 he stepped up to the series full-time, finishing fourth in the championship with victories at St. Petersburg and Barber Motorsports Park. In 2023, he moved to Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports and Dale Coyne Racing, where he earned Rookie of the Year honors with two wins and five podium finishes, finishing third in the overall standings. After a strong start to the 2024 season with pole position and a wire-to-wire victory at St. Petersburg, he earned his first IndyCar start later that year with Dale Coyne Racing and Juncos Hollinger Racing.
Among his career’s greatest achievements is undoubtedly the overall victory in the LMP2 class at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans, which he secured on his first attempt in the United Autosports Oreca alongside Oliver Jarvis and Bijoy Garg. Beyond single-seat racing, Siegel demonstrated his versatility in sports car racing: in 2023, he won an LMP2 race in the Asian Le Mans Series at Dubai with Inter Europol Competition, earned class victories in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the Watkins Glen 6 Hours and Petit Le Mans, and triumphed at the Indianapolis 8 Hour as part of the Fanatec GT World Challenge America. Midway through the 2024 IndyCar season, he signed a multi-year contract with Arrow McLaren for the No. 6 Chevrolet seat.
In the 2026 season, Nolan Siegel will compete as a full-time driver for Arrow McLaren, continuing his trajectory with the renowned traditional team where he has been firmly established since his move in 2024. Following the promising developments of recent years, marked by success in the junior series and his Le Mans LMP2 class triumph, his focus now is to establish himself permanently at the top of the IndyCar Series and convert the experience from his diverse career into consistent results in the Chevrolet cockpit.
