Alex Riberas was born in Barcelona and grew up in a family with a long-standing passion for motorsport. Even as a child, he sat in a kart and gained his first racing experience on Catalan circuits. These early years shaped his ambition and laid the foundation for a career that would later take him through several European junior series.
After karting, Riberas moved on to Formula junior classes, where he steadily held his own against growing competition. The jump into GT3 racing followed as teams took notice of his consistent pace and reliability. This progression ultimately opened the door to the FIA WEC, where he was able to establish himself in one of motorsport’s most demanding endurance racing environments.
In his career to date, Riberas has celebrated several remarkable results in the FIA WEC, solidifying his reputation as a reliable and quick gentleman driver. In particular, his work with renowned teams over the past seasons has brought him podium finishes and strong championship positions that highlight his development from talented junior driver to established factory driver. These successes formed the basis for his continued involvement in the premier class of endurance racing.
For the 2026 season, Riberas remains committed to the FIA WEC and is entering with the ambition to push further forward in the highly competitive GT class. Alongside him in the cockpit are experienced teammates with whom he has already collaborated successfully in the past.
