Ferdinand Habsburg

Ferdinand Habsburg comes from the Austrian noble family Habsburg-Lothringen and grew up with a close connection to Austria, where his fascination with motorsport began. Like many drivers of his generation, he started his career in kart racing, where he learned the fundamental skills of racing and gained his first international experience before moving on to formula classes.

Through the classic junior formula series, Habsburg worked his way up step by step, gaining important experience in highly competitive fields. In parallel with his path through the formula classes, he also found his way into GT3 racing, where he was able to demonstrate his driving skills. This career path eventually opened the door to the FIA World Endurance Championship, where he established himself in the endurance racing scene and became a permanent fixture in international prototype racing.

Habsburg’s greatest career success came in 2021, when he secured the drivers’ title in the LMP2 class of the FIA WEC. This title win marked a decisive milestone in his sporting career and confirmed his potential in long-distance racing at the highest international level. Success in the LMP2 category underscored his consistency and racing pace over the demanding distances of endurance racing and significantly strengthened his reputation in the WEC scene.
