Riccardo Pera was born in Italy and grew up in an environment where motorsport was present from an early age. Like many Italian drivers of his generation, he began his career in karting, where he spent his first years with intensive training and regional and national competitions. After karting, Pera moved into formula and GT junior series, where he gradually worked his way up to the level of international motorsport. Through various brand cups and GT3 championships, he gained valuable experience handling high-performance vehicles and learned to assert himself in an increasingly professional team environment. This path ultimately led him to his entry into the FIA WEC, where he made a name for himself as a GT specialist.
Among the greatest successes of his career so far are several strong results in the GT3 and GTE scene, which gave him the necessary reputation to establish himself permanently in the FIA WEC. In particular, his time with renowned Italian and European GT teams brought him podium finishes and respectable overall results in long-distance classics, which solidified his reputation as a reliable and quick GT driver.
In the 2026 season, Riccardo Pera continues to compete in the FIA WEC, where he represents his team in the GT class and fights alongside his teammate for consistent results and class victories. The goal is to build on previous successes and continue to establish himself in the highly competitive field of the long-distance world championship, while at the same time contributing his experience and technical feedback to the further development of the vehicle.
