Valerio Rinicella

Valerio Rinicella was born in Italy and grew up in an environment where motorsport played a major role from an early age. Like so many drivers of his generation, he gathered his first experiences in karting, where he not only learned to drive at the limit but also developed the tactical understanding of racing that would later distinguish him in GT and prototype classes. The years on the kart track laid the foundation for a career that would gradually bring him closer to the international pinnacle of sports car racing.

After karting, Rinicella went through the classic junior series, in which young talents prove themselves for the leap into GT3 vehicles or formula series. Through these intermediate steps, he found his way into GT3 racing and finally into the world of endurance racing, crowned by the FIA World Endurance Championship. The transition from fast but short sprints to multi-hour endurance races required him to adapt his driving style, which he successfully accomplished with increasing experience in various international championships.

Rinicella achieved his biggest career success to date in the 2024/25 season when he claimed the title in the Asian Le Mans Series. This success marked an important milestone and underscored his ability to consistently perform at a high level even under the pressure of a complete championship. The title in Asia is regarded in the sports car scene as a springboard for further engagements at the highest level and confirmed the potential that Rinicella had built over the years.

In the 2026 season, Valerio Rinicella now competes in the FIA WEC, the pinnacle of the worldwide endurance racing scene. With the skills acquired from his successful time in Asia and the previous stages of his career, he wants to establish himself further internationally and fight for top positions with his team. The upcoming season should be an important benchmark for him to see whether he can take the next step toward a lasting presence at the world’s top endurance racing level.
